I am Dr Kirran, a medical doctor, DJ and dance facilitator. My expertise in the NHS was in pain medicine and I went onto lead research into the role of psychedelics in mental health at Imperial College London.
My own experience with burnout and PTSD after working the frontline of the pandemic, led me on my own seeking journey of how to heal myself. This is when I discovered the power of rhythm, movement and community in processing trauma and improve wellbeing.
I now hold Movement Medicine® sessions and bridge the science of healing with the wisdom of the body.
Dance is something we instinctively recognise, just watch a child move to music! Rhythm helps the nervous system to regulate and allows tension to be released from the body.
Everyone. In-person sessions provide a safe and supportive space for all.

Not at all. Movement Medicine is not about technique or learning dance moves. It is about connecting to the way your body naturally wants to move and having a safe space to do so
It may help reduce pain, improve mobility, prevent future injuries, and enhance overall wellbeing,
You move at your pace, you can do this standing, sitting or lying down. Respect and take care of your body and any limitations
Sessions are mainly individual movement in a shared space. Any partner or group work is always invited, never required. Learning and respecting your own boundaries is part of the process.
